About us
We are a restaurant specializing in Latin American food. We are based in the Lower east side community. When you enter our premises, you are already savoring that diverse culture of Latin America, from our music and our food, to the treatment of our cooks and waiters.
La lechonera
The place opened its doors in 1958 with the name of La Lechonera and then in 1978 it changed the name to “Cibao Restaurant” until today. With our immense passion to bring the flavor of Latin food and culture to the big city, we decided to appropriate the theme of a typical restaurant of Dominican and Caribbean Creole food.
